Jazzy Smith
Jazzy is a teacher, a community builder, writer, and filmmaker. She is unique for her diverse experience, her talent for building welcoming communities, and her commitment to equity and accessibility for young people. She holds an MFA in Writing from the School of Art Institute of Chicago and a Masters in Special Education from Dominican University. She lives in and loves Brooklyn.
Corina joined the KEEN NY family in 2013 as a BK basketball volunteer. The Coaches Committee quickly adopted her as one of their own and thus began her passionate love affair with the community. In 2017, Corina led the inaugural yoga program and also joined the KEEN NY Associate Board. Through the Associate Board, she planned several fundraisers, including the widely popular KEEN on Comedy show. As an active member of the Coaches Committee, she regularly leads the BK yoga program and also helps facilitate other programs.
Outside of KEEN, she spends her free time working in the exhilarating world of structured finance. She is often seen in the company of a finicky Shih-Tzu and a very muscular boyfriend who didn't help write this.
